Giving Feedback That Motivates People | Daily Jim 48

The hamburger approach to feedback doesn't work.

Let me explain.

I used to use this approach when I just started managing people.

And sure enough it made for positive conversations.

But it didn't actually benefit anyone.

People's behaviour rarely changed.

Which meant they weren't growing the way everybody involved wanted.

I'm not sure if it's the best method.

But it does work better for me than the hamburger approach.

Curious how I do it?

Listen until the end.
